Michael O'Neill's men up nine places

Northern Ireland have climbed nine places to joint 26th in the latest round of the FIFA World Rankings.

Michael O’Neill’s team are level with the Republic of Ireland, who fell two places.

Northern Ireland’s World Cup Qualifying Group C opponents Germany remain in third, behind Argentina and the newly number one ranked team; Brazil.

Fans can next watch Northern Ireland in action at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park on Friday 2 June when they host New Zealand in a Vauxhall International Challenge match.

They then fly to Azerbaijan for a FIFA World Cup Qualifier on Sunday 10 June.
