The Irish Football Association is coming to the end of a strategy across 2019-2024 aimed at boosting the development of girls’ and women’s football in Northern Ireland.

Some of the highlights include:

  • 613% increase in the number of registered female players since strategy launch (11,411)

  • 4 Female Coach Educators

  • 93 Female Football Leaders Graduates

  • Record attendance 15,348 attend NI V England Women (April 2022)

The ‘Growing the Game - Maximising Impact’ strategic plan shows the association’s commitment to continue investing heavily in girls’ and women’s football, growing the game from the grassroots up.  Find out more about our five-year strategy here.
