The Irish FA Foundation held its first football and tennis camp for children over the Easter holidays at Wallace Park Tennis Centre in Lisburn.
The Hughes Insurance Irish FA Football Camps teamed up with Tennis Fundamentals to deliver a multi sports camp that would be inclusive to more children and give them a chance to take part in various sports.
The camp gave children the opportunity try a new sport and work on transferable skills from within both sports in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
Irish FA Foundation Recruitment and Retention Officer Kris Lindsay said: “We had 40 children aged between 5-13 years old enjoying quality coaching in both football and tennis. It was also great that just under half of the group were female.
"All the children were learning new skills, meeting new friends and being active over the Easter holidays. This pilot camp was based on our multi-sport approach to skills development and due to its success we hope to run a variety of multi-sport camps in the future”
