The Women’s Under 19 Championship elite rounds got under way this week with 24 teams competing for seven places in August's final tournament in Northern Ireland.
England, Scotland, Italy and The Netherlands will join hosts Northern Ireland having qualified for this summer’s final tournament as winners of their respective groups. Each group was decided in a round-robin format over the past six days.
For the first time in women’s football, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland will compete in a major tournament when it all kicks off this summer.
Heavyweights Spain and Germany are still to feature as two groups are still to play, the latter finishing up on 12th June.
An additional place remains as the best performing second placed team will also qualify for the tournament. Current champions France will be hoping to claim that place as they are finished with 7 points, behind group winners The Netherlands.
The tournament finals will take place across Northern Ireland running from 8th to 20th August. The draw for the tournament takes place in Belfast on 22nd June.
