The Ladbrokes Intermediate Cup has reached the semi-finals stage with Hanover, Limavady United, Linfield Swifts and Newington all still hoping to get their hands on the trophy.
Linfield Swifts will keep up their quest for the treble on Monday night when they face Newington in the first of this week’s games at Dixon Park.
Alan Dornan's side have already tasted cup glory this season after winning the Steel & Sons Cup on Boxing Day and, last week, clinched the inaugural Premiership Development League title.
Newington have had a disappointing season by their own standards but have shown enough promise for even the casual observer to know they'll provide stern opposition for the 'wee' Blues.
So far they've beaten a resurgent Newry City twice and accounted for Barn United, Rosario YC and Rathfriland all away from home before squeezing past Portstewart on penalties in the last round.
Then, on Wednesday night at Mill Meadow, Mid-Ulster Intermediate 'A' side Hanover will lock horns with Limavady United.
Hanover earned the right to compete in what will be one of the biggest games in the history of the club following a penalty shoot-out defeat of Ards Rangers in the previous round, whilst prior to that they ended Carrick Rangers Reserves' interest in the competition.
But they will find the Roesiders a different proposition entirely. Paul Owens' side are nine points clear at the top of the Premier Intermediate League and already have the Craig Memorial Cup safely tucked away in the Rathmore Road trophy cabinet.
