Northern Ireland midfielder Megan Bell has joined Nottingham Forest Women.
The 23-year-old has moved to Forest from Scottish Women’s Premier League 1 side Rangers, whom she joined in 2020.
The midfielder, who has won 34 senior caps and scored three goals for her country to date, will link up with three international team-mates at the FA Premier Division North club. Also on Forest’s books are Northern Ireland defender Nat Johnson, attacking midfielder Caragh Hamilton and striker Casey Howe.
Bell, who previously played for Hearts, Durham and Linfield, told the club’s website: "It's a massive club with massive ambition so I'm delighted to be here.
"I think I'm a very attack-minded player and I'd like to think I can make things happen."
Nottingham Forest head coach Carly Davies is excited by Bell’s arrival at the club.
She said: “Megan is an experienced international with tremendous potential. She has impressed us with her technical ability and attacking prowess from midfield areas.
“She has the ability to unlock defences with clever combinations, through passes and an eye for goal.
“I look forward to supporting her development and seeing how far we can develop her. Megan is an exciting young prospect with an exceptionally bright future.”
Forest currently sit second in FA Premier Division North (third tier in England). They are two points behind leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers Women with a game in hand.
Reflecting on her time at Rangers, the 23-year-old said: “I have loved every minute of my time at the club. Everyone knows how much this club means to me and it has been an honour to call myself a Rangers player for five years.”
The midfielder played an influential role in Rangers Women lifting the league title for the first time in the club’s history in the 2021-22 campaign.
Bell has signed a permanent deal at Forest until the end of this season.
