The Irish Football Association is saddened to hear of the death of John Quinn, its former Commercial Manager and Media Manager.
John joined the association in 1990 having held the role of Marketing Manager at the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. He worked in the roles of Commercial Manager and Media Manager at the Irish FA until 2000.
John developed commercial strategies and plans for the association and was instrumental in bringing sponsorships to the association from companies such as Coca-Cola, Vauxhall and McEwan's Lager during his tenure.
Former colleague William Campbell paid tribute to him: “John was a true gentleman, the consummate professional and a well respected colleague who helped bring the association up to date in its management of commercial partnerships and latterly its media relationships.”
The association would wish to send its heartfelt condolences to John’s family circle at this sad time.
