The fonaCAB Craig Stanfield Junior Cup continued at the weekend, but there will be a new name on the trophy this season after holders Enniskillen Rangers exited the competition.
The 'tie of the round' pitted 2021/22 winners Coalisland Athletic against Lincoln Courts, losing semi-finalists last season, at Drumcoo.
Lincoln, playing out of the North West Junior League Premier Division, moved in front after half-an-hour courtesy of a Gareth Connor strike.
It was a lead they held until the 76th minute when Stephen Corr levelled for Coalisland before Sean Corr bagged the winner for the Mid Ulster League side with just two minutes remaining.
Current holders Enniskillen Rangers crashed out of the competition after going down by the odd goal in three away to Ballymena Saturday Morning League side Southside Rangers.
All the scoring came in the first half. Mark Cutler had edged Enniskillen in front as early as the eight minute, but Dean Graham hit back for Southside just over 20 minutes later before Chad Shaw hit the winner a minute from the break.
There were no such issues for Harryville Homers who, like Enniskillen Rangers, have dominated the competition in the last decade and progressed virtue of a 3-1 defeat of Ravenhill YM.
Benjamin Dallas opened the scoring after a quarter-of-an-hour, Scott McCullough doubled up later in the first half with Leon Carley bagging a third with around 20 minutes remaining.
Goals are never far away in the Junior Cup, with three sides clocking up an impressive nine goals on their way to the next round.
Biggest winners on the day were Ardmore, who hit nine without reply past Lisburn Distillery U21 at McCourt's Field. Lisbellaw United matched that tally as they crushed Belfast Athletic 9-1 at Drumad, while Dundela Reserves won 9-2 on the road at Enniskillen Athletic.
That included a four-goal haul for Finlay Hoey, the top individual scorer on the day. Lewis McCullough had given the Duns an early lead before Hoey took over scoring duties with a remarkable hat-trick between the 10th and 18th minutes! He then hit his fourth with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
A further nine players also claimed hat-tricks, namely Jack Coyle (Ardmore), Callum Murray (Red Star), Paddy Quigg (Kilrea United), Niall Kennedy (Newtown Forest), Richard Woods (Lisbellaw United), Ryan Campbell (NFC Kesh), Kian Storey (St. Patrick's YM), Luke Ritchie (Ards Reserves) and Strathroy Harps striker Corey Wood who staked his claim for the match ball with three goals in just seven minutes late in their 5-2 defeat of Camlough Rovers.
