The Irish Football Association’s Communications Team has won the 'Best Use of Social Media in Sport' award at this year's Northern Ireland Social Media Awards.
The team also came runners-up in both the 'Best Overall Use of Social Media' and 'Best Social/Digital In-House Team' categories at the event which took place at Belfast’s Europa Hotel on Saturday.
The event honours and recognises freelancers, individuals, teams, agencies and businesses delivering excellence in social media marketing and content.
By putting fans at the forefront of content and giving exclusive insights into player personalities, the team were able to successfully grow the @NorthernIreland social following and engagement by record numbers for the Irish FA in 2024.
Danny Lynch, Director of Communications at the Irish FA, said: "Our team is hard working, talented and to be recognised as the leaders in our field is testament to this. It boasts an excellent and diverse range of skills, experience and is a group we’re all proud to be part of.”
