The Clearer Water Irish Cup continued on Saturday with a number of Third Round ties taking the winning sides one step closer to lining up alongside senior opposition in January.
It turned out to be a great afternoon for sides from the NIFL Premier Intermediate League with no fewer than seven progressing to the next round.
Leaders Dollingstown led the charge with a thumping 7-2 victory away to Newbuildings United.
Aaron Duke opened the scoring from the spot just before the half-hour mark to hand the Dollybirds the advantage before Jordan Killen hit back for the home side just moments later.
But the real damage was inflicted upon the hosts in the second half when Henry Cromack restored Dollingstown's lead on 49 minutes, ahead of a Jackson Holmes finish and a second for Cromack's all before the hour.
Trent McKeegan reduced the deficit midway through the second half, but Jonathan Ewart restored Dollingstown's three-goal cushion six minutes after that.
Two stoppage time goals from Kyle McGuiggan, and a second for Duke, then put the seal on a superb afternoon for the visitors.
The only all-PIL tie saw Banbridge Town defeat Coagh United 3-0 at Crystal Park. Stephen McCavitt struck twice in the first half, with Cohen Henderson adding the third late in the game.
Ballymacash Rangers got past Abbey Villa at Adams Park, with all three goals coming in an explosive opening 20 minute spell.
Benny Igiehon edged 'Cash in front on eight minutes with Jack Upritchard equalising for Villa a short time later. However, Adam Neale grabbed what ultimately proved to be the winner on 19 minutes.
Rathfriland Rangers needed two second half goals to get past Dunloy at Iveagh Park. Scoreless at the break, Daniel Devlin broke the deadlock five minutes after the interval with Eoin Rooney making sure with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
Knockbreda swept to a comfortable 5-1 home defeat of Bloomfield. Curtis Kenny hit two to give 'Breda a commanding half-time lead, with Bobby Higgins adding a third on 51 minutes.
Christopher Elliott pulled one back for Bloomfield midway through the second half but a Fra Nolan brace in the closing ten minutes put paid to any hopes of a comeback.
Goals from Conor Donnelly and Ryan Doherty proved enough for Portstewart to get past Dromara Village at Seahaven while Benjamin Mulgrew, Charlie Chapman and Matthew Hughes all registered as Queen's University had too much for Ards Rangers at Drome Park.
But it wasn't all plain sailing for PIL sides as Oxford Sunnyside exited the competition at the hands of Belfast Celtic at Glen Road Heights.
Daniel Smith had fired Oxford in front on 12 minutes, a lead they held until ten minutes after the break when Anthony Nelson levelled for Celtic - with the 23-year-old then going on to claim the winner with 11 minutes remaining!
Elsewhere, one game went all the way to penalties as Mossley and St. James' Swifts couldn't be separated in Glengormley, with Swifts eventually coming through on spot-kicks.
And it was a good afternoon for Wellington Rec. as they hit four on the road to get past Richhill AFC while Islandmagee defeated Desertmartin by the odd goal in seven at Wilbourne Park.
