Northern Ireland’s Women’s Under-17 team are playing Greece’s WU17s this week as part of preparations for Euro qualifiers next month.
They are set to take on the Greeks at Dixon Park in Ballyclare tomorrow (Tuesday 3 September) and again at the same venue on Friday (6 September). Both games will kick off at the home of Ballyclare Comrades at 3pm.
WU17s manager Gail Redmond has chosen a 22-strong squad for the two fixtures.
The bulk of the players in the panel were part of the Northern Ireland WU16 team which competed at SuperCupNI back in July. They reached the final of the Girls’ U16 (Premier) Cup where they were narrowly defeated by Manchester United.

They are due to face Poland, Scotland and Iceland in League A Group 4, with Scotland hosting the A4 mini tournament from 1-7 October.
The squad for the games against Greece is as follows:
Goalkeepers – Abbie Smith, Zara Maguire, Lilly Jeffery.
Defenders – Caitlin Carlisle, Niamh Hassan, Chloe Beckinsale, Sophie Hutchinson, Lillie Horner, Catie McGurnaghan, Tara Kerr.
Midfielders - Sophie Pollock, Charlotte Havern, Olivia Campbell, Mirjana Karrabecaj, Natnicha Mills.
Forwards – Lucy Kelly, Ava Hurl, Jessica McGuinness, Mia Reilly, Ellen McDermott, Ruby Adair, Kayli-Ann Clayton.
