Women’s U15s to take on Republic in friendly

Northern Ireland’s Women’s Under-15 team are set to face Republic of Ireland’s WU15s in an international challenge match later this month.

The friendly in Dundalk on Sunday 16 March will be a preparation game for the U15 development squad ahead of the annual Bob Docherty Tournament, which is being staged in Northern Ireland in mid-April.

Rock Celtic FC’s ground at Blackrock in Dundalk is the venue for the game against the Republic (1pm kick-off).

The Northern Ireland team is set to be managed by Stephen Graham, who will be assisted by Jack Little and Heather Mearns. Graham has chosen an 18-strong squad for the game.

The annual Bob Docherty Tournament, run by the Schools’ Association Football International Board (SAFIB), is for Under-15 schoolgirls’ teams, although the respective squads usually feature several players involved in national development set-ups.
