
Striker Callum Marshall scored for the second consecutive game as Huddersfield Town ended a run of two straight defeats with a 2-1 victory at Stevenage on Saturday.
The 20-year-old, who is on loan from West Ham United, opened the visitors’ account in the third minute with his ninth goal of the season, although he admitted he was disappointed not to have had a hat-trick in the League One clash.
“I’m happy I’ve scored today,” he told HTTV. “But I should have scored more. The keeper has pulled off a good save and then I tried to stick one through his legs which has just hit the post, though I should have scored.
“It was great to get a goal in the first couple of minutes. That was a big thing for us as we haven’t started games very well recently and it was great to get on the front foot."
“I know myself if I get chances I’ll score,” he added. “I’m just happy that I was getting chances because then I know I’m getting in the right areas and I know over time I’ll score more than I miss.”
Also getting on the scoresheet over the weekend was Lee Bonis whose 51st minute winner for ADO Den Haag at home to Den Bosch takes his tally for the campaign to 10.
