A 20-strong panel has been chosen to represent Northern Ireland at an upcoming UEFA development tournament for Women’s Under-16 teams.
The four-team mini tournament featuring Spain, Belgium, Iceland and Northern Ireland is due to be staged in Belfast from 10 to 15 March.
The Northern Ireland squad has been selected by Irish FA Girls’ Elite Youth Academy Manager Danielle McDowell-Tuffey and will be led during the tournament by head coach Julie Nelson (pictured) and assistant coach Clare Carson.
The panel features 11 players from Crusaders Strikers, four from Linfield Women and three from Glentoran Women among others.
All the games are being played at Seaview Stadium. Northern Ireland will face Belgium there on 10 March (4pm), Spain on 12 March (11am) and Iceland on 15 March (4pm).
The tournament is being organised by the Irish Football Association on behalf of UEFA and entry is free to all of the games.
The Northern Ireland WU16 squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers – Abbie Smith (Crusaders Strikers), Lily Jeffery (Glentoran Women).
Defenders – Caitlin Carlisle, Lillie Horner, Chloe Beckinsale and Sophie Hutchinson (all Crusaders Strikers), Tara Kerr and Ellie McLarnon (Linfield Women), Caitie McGurnaghan (Glentoran Women).
Midfielders – Sophie Pollock, Jessica McGuinness and Niamh Hassan (all Crusaders Strikers), Natnicha Mills (Sion Swifts Ladies), Charlotte Havern (Linfield Women).
Forwards – Lucy Kelly, Mia Reilly and Maja Stachura (all Crusaders Strikers), Ava Hurl (Linfield Women), Anna Walsh (Glentoran Women), Mia Snoddy (Larne Women).
