Northern Ireland senior men’s team will be back in action next week as they welcome Slovakia to Belfast for the crucial UEFA Euro 2020 play-off final on 12 November.
It’s the first of three games over a seven-day period for Ian Baraclough’s players. Victory against the Slovaks would secure a place at next summer’s European Championship, making it back-to-back qualifications for the tournament.
After the final, Northern Ireland will travel to Vienna to face Austria in the UEFA Nations League and then it’s back to the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park for the visit of Romania (18 November) in the same competition.
Boss Baraclough, who led his team to a dramatic semi-final play-off win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo last month, is set to name his squad for the upcoming game on Thursday 5 November at 11am.
