Clearer Water has become the official water partner for the Northern Ireland national teams.
The Larne-based water company has signed a 10-year partnership deal with the Irish Football Association which also sees it become the exclusive water supplier to the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park in Belfast.
Ross Lazaroo-Hood, Global CEO/Co-Chairman/Owner of Clearer Water, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Northern Ireland national teams for the next 10 years.
“It’s an unprecedented deal within sport in Northern Ireland and we wanted to commit to the future of football in this country. It’s a hugely exciting period for the sport with the U19 men’s Euros here next year and this week’s huge announcement that Belfast will be a host city for the Euros in 2028.
“We hope to work with all the Northern Ireland teams on their preparation and performance to keep them hydrated, and also work within the communities that the Irish Football Association supports.
“Being the exclusive water supplier to the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park is an honour for us. The Clearer Water team, Sitki Gelmen (Co-Chairman/Owner) and myself are proud to be the association’s hydration and water partner.”
Stephen Bogle, Head of Sales and Marketing at the Irish FA, said: “We’re delighted to announce Clearer Water as the official water supplier to the Northern Ireland football teams and the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park.
“Clearer Water products will be essential to the preparation and performance of the squads and we look forward to working closely with the Clearer Water team in the coming years.”
Earlier this month Clearer Water also agreed to become the main sponsor of the Irish Football Association’s Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the Irish Cup, for the next 10 years.
Clearer Water supplies water which is drawn from a deep aquifer and naturally filtered through cretaceous limestone formed 400 million years ago as part of the famous Antrim Plateau.
Bottled on-site at its manufacturing plant at Magheramorne, just outside Larne, it is a perfectly balanced PH 7.8 alkaline spring water rich in essential minerals.
Apart from producing premium, traceable and ethical bottled water, Clearer Water also prides itself as a socially responsible employer and champions a mixed ability workforce, providing training and career development for additional needs and socially disadvantaged young people.
