Northern Ireland U16s will face Scotland tomorrow in the Victory Shield in their second outing of the tournament. Kris Lindsay’s side were unlucky not to secure all three points against Wales in their opening fixture.
Head coach Kris Lindsay said: “I was very pleased with our performance. In possession we were creative, we moved the ball well and created chances. We probably could have been a bit more clinical but the performance was pleasing. To concede late on was obviously disappointing but a lot of what we did in and out of possession was very positive.
"We're looking forward to the Scotland game, it's of course going to be another tough challenge with a quick turnaround, so we will be utilising our full squad. We will look go in with the same attitude as we did against Wale into what will be another great test for the boys."
Northern Ireland found themselves in front thanks to a George Feeney header when he got on the end of Chris Atherton’s excellent free-kick. The game was level just minutes before the final whistle when Everton's Patrick Mlynarski found the back of the net.
Wednesday’s against Scotland will be shown on the Northern Ireland YouTube channel (Link below). It will be held at Flint Town United (KO noon).
