The Irish Football Association’s digital matchday programme for this evening’s FIFA Women’s A friendly international between Northern Ireland and Scotland is now live.
The e-programme features Northern Ireland senior women’s team manager Kenny Shiels’ thoughts ahead of the challenge match at Seaview – and his reflections on his side reaching the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 finals.
In his manager’s View column in the programme, he says: “The togetherness, determination, commitment and desire within the squad shone through against Ukraine home and away and we thoroughly deserved our success.
“But for now we have to park our Euro dreams because there is plenty of work to be done between now and the summer of 2022, not least this game this evening and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 qualifiers this autumn and next spring.”
The digital programme also contains the squad line-ups for both Northern Ireland Women and Scotland Women – plus a welcome to the match from Irish FA President David Martin.
In addition there’s an extensive picture gallery/report from the Women’s Euro play-off success against Ukraine Women at Seaview back in April.
And there’s a section featuring 11 virtual mascots who have been nominated by friends and family members. All the mascots have taken part in Shooting Stars, the Electric Ireland-sponsored Irish FA programme which introduces girls aged 4-11 to football.
