The draw for round two of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup was made this morning and it has thrown up a tasty all-Premiership clash with Cliftonville Ladies and Linfield Ladies being paired together in the tie of the round.
The Reds will host the three-time winners on 9 July for what promises to be an intriguing encounter with a place in the quarter finals the prize for the victors.
Glentoran Women, the 2019 competition winners, are at home to Derry City Women while Crusaders Strikers face a short trip across the capital to face East Belfast Ladies.
Premiership outfit Sion Swifts Ladies are also on their travels having been draw away to Killen Rangers Ladies who were 12-1 winners over Belfast Ravens in Friday evening’s round one match.
And there’s a big derby in store after Lisburn Ladies were handed a home tie against Lisburn Rangers Ladies.

Elsewhere St James’ Swifts Ladies welcome Crewe United Ladies, Carnmoney Ladies entertain Camlough Rovers Ladies and Mid Ulster Ladies are set to play Belfast Celtic Ladies.
The draw, staged at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, was made by Elaine Junk, chair of the Irish Football Association’s Women’s Challenge Cup Committee, and Anne Smyth of Electric Ireland.
All second-round ties to be played on Friday 9 July 2021 – kick-offs 7.30pm.
