Northern Ireland striker Simone Magill has signed a full-time professional contract with Everton Ladies.
The 22-year-old was naturally delighted to join the professional ranks of the club she first joined back in 2013 from Mid-Ulster Ladies
Speaking on evertontv Simone said: “It is what you always dream of when you are a kid.
“It’s fantastic that it is now possible to do it in the women’s game. It’s a dream come true to turn professional.
“I came over here from Northern Ireland when I was 18,” added Simone, “and I have stayed for the good times and the bad.
“There is no Club better deserving of being back in WSL 1 and going full-time. It’s definitely where the Club belongs, and I am thrilled I get to be a part of that.
“It is fantastic to be able to go full-time with a group of girls I know really well now. This is the best Everton has ever been since I have been at the Club.
“To go and win the Spring Series was great and there is a real buzz around the camp.”
Simone made her debut for the Senior Northern Ireland Women’s team against Scotland when she was only 15 back in 2010 and is now fast approaching 50 caps for her country.
The Magherafelt-born forward also holds the world record for the fastest ever goal at International level in the women’s game when she scored after just 11 seconds of Northern Ireland’s 4-0 victory over Georgia in June last year.
