You can relive the thrills and spills of Euro 2016 one year on by purchasing the Irish Football Association book charting Northern Ireland’s memorable adventure in France last summer.
Dare To Dream, published by the Irish FA in partnership with Blackstaff Press, is the definitive official record of Northern Ireland’s Euro 2016 campaign.
It features more than 300 stunning colour photographs and features a foreword by Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill. It is still available to purchase online (priced £14.99) from Blackstaff Press (Available to buy here).
The book features the pictures of award-winning photographer William Cherry of Belfast-based photo agency Press Eye. It was written by Mark McIntosh, who is The Sun’s football writer in Northern Ireland, and Nigel Tilson, a senior media officer with the Irish FA who is a former newspaper editor, business editor and sports editor.
The authors explained the concept behind the book: “Through pictures, many of which are exclusive to the book, and words we wanted to capture the buzz experienced by the players and fans alike and to reflect on the great Euro 2016 adventure.
“In Dare To Dream we cover a lot of ground, from the qualification campaign through to the team’s preparation for and participation in the tournament and, finally, the remarkable homecoming which the squad really enjoyed.
“It provides some great insights into what went on behind the scenes, the manager’s and the players’ views on the Euro 2016 experience and highlights our fans’ incredible support for the team.”
