Unbeaten throughout the season in the League ‘Rovers had to compete against eight other teams during the tournament.
Their unbeaten run came to an end when they were beaten at the semi -final stage losing narrowly to the more experienced Royal National College for the Blind from Hereford.
Team Captain and voted Player of the Year Niall Dempsey was not too despondent despite having been beaten at the semi-final stage.
He said: “It has been a fantastic season for all the players in our squad.
“To remain undefeated in the league and to be the first team to achieve that particular feat, combined with a narrow defeat in the semi-final of the Cup, speaks volumes for our squads commitment throughout the year.
“Our players relish the challenge of competitive football and are already looking forward to next season.”
