WHEN it comes to football, NORTHERN IRELAND’S number one ridged crisp McCoy’s is ‘in a different league’.
And now the popular ‘man crisp’ has teamed up with the Daily Mirror and the Irish Football Association (IFA) to offer Junior League football teams in Northern Ireland a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to play at our National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, where many memorable moments in Northern Irish football history have taken place.
Who can forget David Healy’s winning goal against England in September 2005 or his hat-trick to beat Spain in 2006? Now two Junior League teams from Northern Ireland will have a chance to step out on that same hallowed turf to create their own history and battle it for the title of ‘The Real McCoy’ at the iconic Windsor Park, home of the Northern Ireland football team.
Two winning teams will be selected from entrants to play this ‘one-off’ football match, and will also have a chance to meet and greet Northern Ireland’s legendary sports presenter Jackie Fullerton who will also provide a commentary on the match. The overall winner will return home with ‘The Real McCoy’ Junior League trophy.
What’s more, every team that enters will be included in a prize draw to win a brand new football strip for their club.
Earlier this year, McCoy’s signed a tasty deal to become the Official Crisp Partner of the Football League, the oldest league in world football founded in 1888. To mark this deal, packs of McCoy’s crisps are offering football fans a chance to win '2 for 1' football league tickets, executive tickets to the Championship Play-Off Final including a tour of Wembley stadium, VIP ‘meet and greet’ experiences with clubs and managers, and tours of Sky Studios with an opportunity to be in the audience for Soccer AM or Saturday Night Football including travel and accommodation. McCoy’s lovers can also win a brand new 42” TV with free Sky Sports for a year and a year’s supply of McCoy’s crisps.
The McCoy’s ‘In a Different League’ campaign also includes the return of the annual McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz, the search to find Northern Ireland’s brainiest pub team. For more information on McCoy’s and how you can take part in the Pub Quiz go to www.facebook.com/mccoysni.
