Contributions and input for the Irish FA’s new Girls‘ and Women’s strategy are being sought with a series of roadshows being delivered throughout August.
And Director of Women's Football, Angela Platt, who will be leading the sessions with Women’s Football Development Manager, Lauren Moore, which start tonight at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, has called the roadshows an ‘opportunity for everyone’ to have their say.
“Whilst we have been consulting extensively about the women and girls game as part of the ongoing Youth Review, these roadshows will allow us to consult directly with clubs, leagues and other important stakeholders and partners.” said Platt. “The strategy will only work if it’s reflective of the thoughts, views and experiences participating in the game on a daily basis, so I’m encouraging everyone to step forward and have their say.”
The strategy is due to be launched next year and roadshows are taking place across the country with the option to join online too. You can register for one of the roadshows here.
“We have some really exciting plans around this important and ever growing area of our work. We know women’s and girls football is becoming increasingly embedded into the structure of wider clubs and these roadshows are just another part in this evolution.”
