Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter has been charged and fined by the Irish FA’s Disciplinary Committee for a breach of Article 18.15 of the Irish FA’s Disciplinary Code (unsporting conduct towards a match official).
The sanction relates to an incident following the conclusion of the NIFL Danske Bank Premiership match between Crusaders and Glentoran at Seaview on Friday 21 January.
The Disciplinary Committee has imposed a four-match standard suspension on Mr Baxter, while Crusaders have been fined £100.
The Crusaders manager also received an automatic two-match ban after being shown a red card during the game on 21 January for using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures.
Crusaders have challenged the charge issued against Stephen Baxter for the breach of Article 18.15 of the Irish FA’s Disciplinary Code. The committee will now consider the challenge.
Meanwhile, Glentoran were charged by the committee with a breach of Article 33 of the Irish FA’s Disciplinary Code (spectator misconduct) and sanctioned with a £500 fine in relation to their NIFL Premiership fixture against Cliftonville at Solitude on Tuesday 17 January.
