Both the printed and digital versions of the official UEFA Super Cup matchday programme are now available to order.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions the programme for tomorrow’s game between Champions League holders Chelsea and Europa League champions Villarreal will not be available to purchase at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park.
However, the printed version of the publication is now available to purchase online. You can order your copy by clicking here
And the digital version can be purchased for £2 via this link
Inside the programme readers will find interviews with Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel and Villarreal boss Unai Emery as they look back on their respective sides’ winning campaigns in Europe and ahead to the new season.
There are also interviews with the goalkeeping heroes from each side – Chelsea’s Édouard Mendy and Villarreal’s Gerónimo Rulli – and expert analysts Pat Nevin and Sid Lowe provide their insights on the two teams.
In addition the publication pays homage to one of the city’s favourite sons, George Best. Jim Gracey of the Belfast Telegraph recalls the life and times of Best in a personal tribute to the Northern Ireland genius. And his piece lends credence to the saying ‘Diego was good, Pele better, George Best’.
And there’s also a piece, penned by freelance journalist Ivan Little, which focuses on Linfield manager and Northern Ireland goalscoring legend David Healy, who reveals what makes the Super Cup host stadium such a special venue.
