The Northern Ireland U18 schoolgirls side are set to face Australia in an international friendly next week.
Head coach Alfie Wylie has picked an 18-strong squad for the game, which is being staged on Monday (23 January) at Ulster University’s Jordanstown campus (12 noon kick-off).
Australia are visiting Northern Ireland as part of a UK and Ireland Tour and Alfie said his team are looking forward to being part of that.
He added: “This promises to be a hard fought contest between two teams who will aim to use the game as preparation for the year ahead. The game also provides another opportunity for our girls to represent their country.
“We will be using the game as further preparation against tough opposition but it will also further add to our training and match programme for what promises to be an exciting year for women’s football in Northern Ireland, especially with us hosting this year’s UEFA Under-19 Women’s Championship in the summer.”
