Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans has withdrawn from the squad to face San Marino and Finland.
The experienced centre-back had been named in Michael O’Neill’s 26-man panel for the opening UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers but injury means he will miss out.
Earlier this month, Evans, who has 100 caps for his country, returned to action for Leicester City after a long-term lay-off but a hamstring injury now means he will miss the upcoming internationals.
Northern Ireland kick off their campaign with a trip to San Marino on Thursday (19:45 GMT) before welcoming Finland to the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park on Sunday (19:45 GMT).
