Goals either side of the break from skipper Aaron Moffett and Johnny Kernaghan helped Dollingstown defeat St. James Swifts to reach the final of the McCombs Coach Travel Intermediate Cup.
Played at Annagh United's Tandragee Road ground in Portadown, the game kicked off at pace and, after a feisty opening, started to settle into an end-to-end encounter with both sides enjoying a number of half chances although the final touch was missing.
Dollingstown started to take control as the game wore on, almost taking the lead midway through the first half when Gary Liggett went on an unchallenged solo run from just inside his own half but, with only keeper Ethan Carry to beat, his left foot shot let him down.
Both sides regrouped after the water break and again it was nip and tuck.
The Dollybirds eventually broke the deadlock on 39 minutes when Moffett directed a downward header from eight yards out past Carry and watched as it nestled in the bottom of the net.
Dollingstown came storming out of the blocks after the break in pursuit of a second goal, and it duly arrived just a couple of minutes in courtesy of a blistering 18-yard finish from Kernaghan which gave the Swifts keeper no chance.
Their tails up, Dollingstown almost grabbed a third moments later through Keith Johnston but his piledriver from the edge of the area struck the base of an upright before bouncing to safety.
Chasing the game, Swifts settled after conceding that early second goal but despite testing keeper Steven Maguire on a number of occasions just couldn't claw their way back into the game.
