Newbuildings United hit four goals past hosts Moneyslane in the Match on Tuesday Intermediate Cup Fourth Round 'tie of the round' at Jubilee Park.
The game started at a fast pace but both teams found the ball hard to control in the strong gusting winds.
The visitors broke the deadlock after ten minutes when a mistake by Matthew McClurg in the home goal allowed Jordan Watson to finish from close range.
Moneyslane responded sixty seconds later when Stephen Glasgow drilled the ball home from inside the six-yard box.
Newbuildings regained the advantage ten minutes from the break through Ryan Mullan's 25-yard finish after Dylan McCorkell found him with a defence splitting pass.
And they moved further ahead moments from the break. Mullan and McCorkell teamed up superbly down the right wing before the latter teed Justin McFaul to tap home a third.
Then, within four minutes of the restart, Mullan strolled through the home defence to test McClurg with the ball eventually falling for Jack McClelland to stroke home number four from close range.
With nothing to lose Moneyslane attempted to salvage some pride by testing Newbuildings keeper Jack Le Moignan from all angles but he proved capable of dealing with anything thrown at him.
The hosts then squandered an opportunity to reduce the deficit on 78 minutes when they were awarded a penalty following a challenge on Jonathan Black but John Kernaghan saw his spot-kick kept out by Le Moignan.
