Northern Ireland new boy Kyle Vassell says he’s determined to use his first call-up to the senior international squad as learning curve to better his game.
The Rotherham United striker was drafted into Michael O’Neill’s panel for the upcoming Nations League matches on Monday and he’s been describing his first impressions after linking up with the players in Austria
“The boys have been brilliant,” he said. “They have welcomed me here and I’ve spoken to everyone. Training has been really good; I’m learning and that’s what I’m trying to do really – to use this to improve as well.
“I’m enjoying being here and learning from the senior pros and the ones who have been at the top level because that’s where I want to get to. I’m just enjoying it … it’s a proud moment for my family and I’m just trying to embrace it.”
