The first McDonald's National Futsal Festival was held today at Newry Leisure Centre.
Teams from across the country took part at Under 11 and Under 12 age groups where the focus wasn't on trophies but not participation.
The aim of the day was to introduce Futsal to more youth footballers who as yet haven't had the chance to play the indoor sport.
Regional Grassroots Development Officer Malcolm Roberts said: "McDonald's Futsal is a programme that is an extension to our Small Sided Games which has 13,000 children playing in.
"It's an extension to the Small Sided Games so we come inside for four or five weeks to promote the game of Futsal.
"Kids enjoy learning new things, and we have seen today especially with the Under 11's that they are a little tentative with the rules. But they have all had fun, they take away some learning and have practiced a new skill set."
