Northern Ireland’s Michael McGovern says he believes the team can beat Switzerland in next month’s FIFA World Cup play-offs.
The goalkeeper, who has 26 caps for his country, was happy to avoid Croatia and Italy in yesterday’s draw and also believes having home advantage in the first leg is a positive.
He said: “I think it’s got its advantages. If we can get a good performance and take a lead going over to Switzerland I’m sure we can finish the job off.
“I think at home, with our fans behind us, we can beat anybody. So we’re really looking forward to the game and the atmosphere should be electric.”
