Striker Dale Taylor has signed a new long-term contract with Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest that will see him remain at the City ground until 2025.
The highly rated teenager was a key figure in the Forest U18 side that made it through to last season FA Youth Cup Final which they eventually lost to Manchester United.
Speaking to the club website after signing his new deal, Taylor said: “It’s an unbelievable feeling to sign for another three years with this massive football club and I can’t wait to see what these next three years hold for me.
“This season, I will continue to work hard, try to break into the first team and hopefully get my debut.”
Although he has still to make his first team bow, the 18-year-old did make the bench towards the end of last season when Forest recorded a 5-1 home win over Swansea City.
Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough did however hand the former Linfield forward his senior international debut against Lithuania last November and he was also an unused substitute in the scoreless draw against European champions Italy three days later.
Taylor has also won seven caps at under-21 level for Northern Ireland and holds the record as the youngest ever scorer for this age group when he scored on his debut against Scotland in June last year.
