The Irish FA has confirmed it will be marking Armistice Day at this Friday’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lithuania in Belfast.
A minute’s silence is to be held before kick-off and a poppy wreath placed at the side of the pitch by Irish FA President Conrad Kirkwood.
A message of remembrance will also be displayed on the giant screen at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park.
And during the game Northern Ireland players will wear black armbands featuring a poppy emblem.
