The senior team gathered today (4 September) for a training session ahead of Northern Ireland's opening Nations League game against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Saturday.
Manager Michael O'Neill commented on the freshness of the squad now that they are back together as they prepare for Saturday's Nations League opener.
He said: "We have the emergence of some of the younger players. Jamal Lewis is back in, Jordan Jones is with us and Gavin Whyte came in.
"I think there's a bit of freshness to the squad. We still have the experience in with McAuley and Hughes which are equally very important."
At 2:00PM on Saturday Northern Ireland will face Bosnia & Herzegovina in the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park and the gaffer can't wait to get started.
"We look forward to this new competition, it's a big challenge, it's a tough group we're in but it's a great game to kick us off.
"They have top players from Europe in Miralem Pjanić and Edin Džeko and will provide a tough game for us."
