Jamie Ward was understandably frustrated after Northern Ireland's 0-0 draw with Switzerland in Basel, which signalled the end of Northern Ireland's FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The forward, who came back into the squad for the two play-off games after a lengthly injury, said: "The manner [in which] we went out is obviously disappointing. It would be nice for the ref' to come out and say what he's seen in that game.
"We have to explain ourselves when we make mistakes so it would be nice for him to come out and tell us what he's seen."
"We've got to forget about this campaign now and worry about the next one and hopefully we can go on and do good things again.
"We will be down for a couple of days obviously because we know how hard done by we were.
"We'll get together tonight and have a good time. All we can do now is forget about this one and move forward."
