Northern Ireland U19's in narrow lost to hosts Poland

Northern Ireland U19s lost the final game against Poland at the UEFA mini-tournament.

Northern Ireland started very strongly creating numerous chances in the opening ten minutes, with Lavery and Glackin getting shots away, however they were unable to break the deadlock.

The rest of the first half was fairly uneventful for both sides as the quick succession of free kicks disrupted the play. The sides went into half time goalless.

Poland started the second half much stronger forcing Hazard into making numerous saves. However, on the 60th minute the hosts broke the deadlock through Schikowski.

Northern Ireland pressed for an equaliser and came close in the dying minutes of the game however Gostomski did well to deny Lavery.

The game finished 1-0 to the hosts Poland.
