Northern Ireland’s senior men’s team will play Spain in a friendly this summer, it was confirmed today.
Michael O’Neill’s side are due to come up against the Euros-bound Spanish on Saturday 8 June in Mallorca – at the Son Moix Stadium in Palma.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 9.30pm local time and will be part of a double header in Spain, with details of the second game still to be finalised.

Michael O’Neill’s men are fresh off the back of a win against Scotland and draw against Romania during the March international window. Both of those teams will also be playing at UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany this summer.
Ticket information for the international challenge match against Spain will follow, with priority access available to campaign package holders.
Spain, whose squad features some of Europe’s biggest stars, are among the favourites to win this year’s European Championship. Luis de la Fuente’s side topped Group A in the qualifiers with 21 points. They won seven of their eight games, with their only defeat coming against Scotland.
The second game for Northern Ireland in Spain will be staged on Tuesday 11 June.
