Northern Ireland Women’s Under-15 development team registered an impressive 2-0 win over Montenegro in Bulgaria today.
The first goal at the Hadzhi Dimitar Stadium came from Mia Reilly. A switch of play by Sophie Pollock found Reilly in space, she spotted the keeper off her line and her shot from distance made it 1-0.
The second goal came from a free-kick won by Anna Walsh. The goal scorer Reilly delivered the set-piece towards back post for Sophie Hutchinson to head in.
It was an excellent team performance from our WU15s in the early morning heat in Sliven. The full 20 players did well to implement the things they’ve been working on during their six-week preparation.
Head coach Stephen Graham presented Emma Brown with the Player of the Match award after the win.
