The Irish Football Association has produced a digital version of the matchday programme for tonight’s international challenge match between Northern Ireland and Hungary.
In the e-publication manager Ian Baraclough reflects on Northern Ireland’s 3-1 friendly win over Luxembourg on Friday and provides his thoughts on a “tough assignment” against Hungary.
“I have no doubt that we will have to be at our very best to get something out of the game because the Hungarians are strong in all areas,” he says in the programme.
The digital publication also contains interviews with Northern Ireland defender/midfielder Shane Ferguson, who reflects on winning his 50th cap for his country back in the autumn, and defender Ciaron Brown, who is keen to get more game time in the national team.
In the programme Shane points out: “It’s crazy to think I have that many caps. When I first came into the squad I never thought I’d reach a total like that. It’s been brilliant and everyone has always been unbelievable with me from the start of my international career.”
And looking to the future, he says: “I’ve really enjoyed it under Ian (Baraclough). The lads get on very well with him and the staff. We’re enjoying working with each other and really looking forward to what’s next for us as a squad.”
The digital programme further includes an in-depth look at the opposition plus much, much more. It is available by clicking here
The print version of the programme will be on sale at the game, priced at £4.
