Caolan Boyd-Munce has been called into the Northern Ireland senior men’s squad for the forthcoming games against Luxembourg and Hungary.
It’s a first call-up to the senior panel for the Middlesbrough midfielder, having been a key figure in the U21s set-up.
In January the 22-year-old made the switch to Boro from fellow EFL Championship side Birmingham City. He hit the ground running for Chris Wilder’s men with a goal on his debut against Mansfield in the third round of the FA Cup.
Making way for Boyd-Munce is Aberdeen winger Matty Kennedy who has withdrawn from the squad due to injury.
Northern Ireland face Luxembourg in an international challenge match at Stade de Luxembourg on Friday 25 March before taking on Hungary in another friendly on Tuesday 29 March.
