The Irish FA Grassroots team are delighted to launch a Mary Peters camp as part of the Nutty Krust Summer Camp schedule.
In partnership with Mary Peters Track and Athletics NI the Irish FA will deliver a unique camp where children aged 8-13 can experience quality coaching in track and field disciplines as well as football.
As the first of its kind, this fun filled camp will take a multi-sport approach to skills development. The camp will also provide another opportunity for children to stay active during their summer holidays.
Ian Stewart, Grassroots Development Manager, Irish FA, said: “The Irish FA are aiming to double youth football participation rates in Northern Ireland by 2025 through the new youth strategy Let Them Play. The Nutty Krust football camps are central to achieving that aim and are hugely important as we seek to grow the game right across the country and find the next generation of Northern Ireland football stars.”
The Irish FA Regional Grassroots Development Officer, Malcolm Roberts said, "This unique summer camp allows both The Irish FA and Athletics NI to engage with children from differing sporting outlooks."
The camp will take place at the Mary Peters Track, Belfast from Monday 25th to Friday 29th July starting at 10.30am and ending at 1.30pm each day.
