Magennis was talking to IrishFA TV at Rugby Park in Scotland, the home of his club team Kilmarnock.
"Kilmornock suits me and my family down to the ground. It's quite family orientated and the community is quite tight.
"It's quiet and suburban which does me. There's no hustle and bustle like living in Glasgow, which suits me and my family down to the ground.
Josh talks briefly about how his club form will impact on his chances of having a starring role for the Northern Ireland side in France.
"You can't expect to go to a major tournament for the first time in your country's history not performing at club level.
"Michael needs 23 players that are in form."
