The squad has a wealth of experience as six players played for last year's Under 18 team which finished as runners up in the Centenary Shield while several other players have been capped at Under 17 level. That experience will be vital against a strong Australian side which has made a successful start to their tour of the UK and Ireland. Last week the Aussies trounced Wales 3-0 and on Monday the team drew 1-1 with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
Northern Ireland has an excellent record against the visitors. In eight meeting the Aussie have only been successful once, back in 1992 with a 1-0 win in Antrim, while Northern Ireland has come out on top on four occasions.
The last two meetings have ended in 1-1 draws and Wednesday's clash in Bangor is expected to be close once again.
