David Martin has been replaced in his role as FIFA Vice President by The FA’s Debbie Hewitt.
Former Irish FA President Martin held the FIFA vice presidency role since 2021 after replacing the then FA chairman Greg Clarke. The role is reserved by world football’s governing body for a representative from one of the four UK football associations.
Martin said: “I have enjoyed my time in the role immensely and want to thank my colleagues who helped make it such a rewarding experience.
“I wish Debbie every success.”
The decision came at today’s 47th UEFA Ordinary Congress in Lisbon, Portugal.
