Round one of the 2022 edition of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup got under way on Friday evening.
Teams from the various NIWFA divisions, including a handful from the top flight (Championship), competed.
Larne Ladies FC ran out 5-0 winners over Comber Rec Ladies in the tie of the round at Inver Park.
Elsewhere Antrim Rovers Ladies won 4-2 against Bangor Ladies while St James’ Swifts Ladies defeated Kilmore Rec Ladies 3-1.
Ballymena United Ladies were away to Lisburn Distillery Ladies. The Sky Blues defeated the Whites by five goals to one.
Level at 3-3 after extra-time Strabane Athletic Ladies needed penalties to see off Camlough Rovers Ladies. They ran out 6-5 winners on spot kicks in a dramatic encounter at Melvin Sports Complex.
