Cliftonville Ladies will be looking to go one better this year in the Senior Women’s Futsal Cup.
The Reds have reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 competition where they will come up against Lisburn Ladies.
Last year they contested the final but lost out to north Belfast rivals Crusaders Strikers on an 11-7 scoreline.
The Strikers are out of the 2018 competition already so the Reds will fancy their chances of getting their hands on the trophy this time around.
They are one of only two NIFL Women’s Premiership sides still represented in the competition. Linfield Ladies, who won the league title in 2017, also went into the hat for the last eight. They will face Chimney Corner Ladies.
The other quarter-final ties will see Portadown Ladies taking on Carnmoney Ladies and Armagh City Ladies coming up against East Belfast Ladies.
All four matches are being played at Shankill Leisure Centre in Belfast this Friday (19 January).
The schedule is:
Linfield Ladies v Chimney Corner Ladies (7.30pm start)
Portadown Ladies v Carnmoney Ladies (7.30pm)
Cliftonville Ladies v Lisburn Ladies (8pm)
Armagh City Ladies v East Belfast Ladies (8pm)
The four teams who progress to the semi-finals will be back at the same venue on Friday 26 January, with the final taking place on 2 February at Shankill LC.
