In a first for the club Ballinamallard United held a two day girls only soccer camp last week with forty girls attending.
The camp catered for 5 to 12 year old girls and was delivered by IFA Youth Development Coaches Derek Sharpe, Trevor Erskine and Gail Macklin with club coaches also supporting.
Commenting on the event Derek Sharpe stated: “We were delighted with the attendance and we believe that much more can be done to provide better opportunities for young girls who enjoy the game and want to play it.
"We are keen to promote this within the club and our Football Development Centre starting back this Saturday will for the first time include a girls section for primary school girls. We look forward to moving this on in the coming months”
