Scort brought Coaches from QPR, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Basel to share knowledge and experience with those involved with the Women’s game in Northern Ireland.Throughout the weekend the group visited the Women’s Premier Divisional Cup Final and toured schools from across Belfast promoting girls football. The highlight of the weekend was the Irish FA ‘Women’s Football Development Conference’ held on Sunday 6th September 2015.
The conference was aimed at those involved in the administration and coaching of Women’s clubs or clubs thinking about setting up a women’s/ girls section. Coaches from QPR, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Basel each delivered presentations on themes such as Women`s Football in European Professional Football Clubs’ and ‘How to recruit and retain female players’ followed by masterclass coaching sessions on the pitch. The conference was a huge success with many clubs in attendance from across the region.
